Scientific reserach, medicine and sinfonic music accompaign Eurokarate

This morning a delegation with some representatives from the national teams competing these days in the PalaTrieste building, left the city centre to reach the Sincrotrone building in Basovizza. During the visit engeneer Zanini, has been the best guide that took through the visit a large group of karatekas and executives explaining the meaning of this scientific institution. Among the participants was a russian karateka and scientist who works in a centre similar to Trieste’s Sincrotrone in Russia, and who demonstrated himself very interested in maintaining a relationship with this important centre in Trieste. Later during the day there has been the opening ceremony in the PalaTrieste building, where the torchlight that lighted the tripod inside the sports-hall arrived. The activities for tomorrow will see a medical meeting intitled “Sports Medicine in the Euroregion”. This meeting that will take place in the Olimpia Hall in the Rocco Stadium, is going to touch a lot of themes starting from disability and ending with doping and the ways to contrast it. The focus of this meeting is to exchange opinions and comments in a local area and it involves doctors coming from Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Greece, Slovenia and italian doctors coming from Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions. Tomorrow a synphonic music concert in the Revoltella Museum’s Auditorium will take place, where all the head delegations of the 44 national karate teams have been invited. Finally on sunday February 17th the event’s closing ceremony will end the 35th European Cadet Junior Karate Championships.
